We both accepted Christ as young adults in the summer of 2007 and soon were baptized and discipled in our local church, taking every opportunity to serve. Every small faithful “yes” to serving the Lord slowly grew from cleaning to helping to teaching and eventually to assisting Pastor Josh Bevan and his wife, Candace, in planting Lighthouse Baptist Church in Xenia, Ohio. Eric served on that staff as an Associate Pastor for 7 years. We both continued to grow and learn in ministry throughout our time in Xenia. During that time we also grew their family, being blessed with three awesome children: Joel, Owen, and Evelyn. Following the Holy Spirit’s prompting, we surrendered to foreign missions and were approved as BBFI missionaries to Honduras in September 2016. In December 2018, we completed personal fundraising and moved to Costa Rica for a one-year language training institute. After a short delay with COVID-related travel restrictions, we moved to Tegucigalpa, Honduras in October 2020. Our desire is to organize new churches in the city of Tegucigalpa and disciple men and women in the Word of God.
The focus of Tegus Ministries is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. These are people who have heard the name of Jesus often, and even have a statue of Him overlooking their city. Yet, most have no idea what a personal relationship with Jesus means. It is our desire to share the saving message of Jesus Christ, to disciple believers to grow in their faith and knowledge of the Word, and to organize Bible-believing churches with a passion for reaching the lost that are led by well-trained, national pastors and leaders.
