We accepted Christ after high school in the summer of 2007 and were baptized and discipled in our local church, taking every opportunity to serve. Saying yes to Lord slowly grew from cleaning the church property, helping at VBS, teaching in Sunday school classes, and eventually assisting Pastor Josh Bevan and his wife, Candace, in planting Lighthouse Baptist Church in Xenia, Ohio. Eric served as Associate Pastor for seven years. During that time, our family grew, and God blessed us with three fantastic children: Joel, Owen, and Evelyn. While on staff at LBC, God called us to the mission field, and we were approved as BBFI missionaries to Honduras in September 2016. In December 2018, we completed deputation and moved to Costa Rica for a one-year language training institute. After a short delay with COVID-related travel restrictions, we moved to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, in October 2020. We desire to organize new churches in Tegucigalpa and disciple men and women in the Word of God. Our first church plant in the community of Loarque celebrated its one-year anniversary in May of 2023.

The focus of Tegus Ministries is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. These are people who have heard the name of Jesus often, and even have a statue of Him overlooking their city. Yet, most have no idea what a personal relationship with Jesus means. It is our desire to share the saving message of Jesus Christ, to disciple believers to grow in their faith and knowledge of the Word, and to organize Bible-believing churches with a passion for reaching the lost that are led by well-trained, national pastors and leaders.
