We are the Skeltons, and we have been serving in Southeast Asia since 2016 and in Hong Kong since 2019.  We are sent out of Florence Baptist Temple in Florence, SC, under Pastor Bill Monroe.  The Lord is doing great things in Hong Kong!  We are currently working to establish Gateway Bible Baptist Church Shek Mun as an evangelism training and church planting base for the 18 districts of Hong Kong, primarily reaching the Cantonese speaking community.  The Lord has also opened doors for evangelistic outreach among the Mandarin speaking and Filipino communities.

We just returned from a 6-month furlough in July 2023.  The harvest field here truly is plenteous.  People are coming to faith in Christ!  However, the work among primarily secular and/or Buddhist people is long and requires a lot of one-to-one relationship building and gospel sharing.

For this reason, we are praying Matthew 9:38, that the Lord of the harvest would send forth more laborers into this fertile field.  There are opportunities for traditional fund-raising missionaries and for “tent-makers” who are equipped to teach English or in International Schools.

Also, Hong Kong is among the most expensive cities in the world.  The high cost of living and doing ministry is always a challenge to the spread of the gospel.

Lastly, in a city that is 94% unreached with the gospel and full of false religion (idols, temples, etc.) the spiritual darkness is great.  We need prayer warriors regularly lifting up our ministry.

For these reasons, we are prayerfully seeking partners in the work: partners in prayer; partners in giving; and partners who will come to Hong Kong!
