The BCMN board endorsed three missionary families in June. We welcome them to BCMN.

  1. Corey and Cora Wilcher – Canada

We are the Wilcher Family from Mt. Orab, Ohio, and God has called us to plant churches as missionaries in the great city of Toronto, Canada. With a population that is now expanding close to 6.5 million, many of these precious souls have fallen prey to the many false religions in this world. Toronto is the biggest multicultural city in the world, and with many nationalities comes many religions. Sadly, only 1.25% in Toronto claim to be Baptist in belief. We want to make a difference in this city, and we know we can because of our Mighty God, and because of the financial and prayer support from many churches across the United States. We are currently on deputation, and ask you to prayerfully consider having us come to your church and present the work God has called us to. We are excited to be serving the Lord as missionaries, and are eager to get to the field, but we also want to be a blessing to your church whenever you may have us come.   1. Nathan and Lisa Means – The Czech Republic

We are the Means family, called to be church planting missionaries to the Czech Republic. Lisa and I were not raised in church. Lisa was a Christmas and Easter Christian, and Nathan was raised Unitarian Universalist and an atheist. While Lisa was saved as a teenager, Nathan was not saved until 25 years old while getting his PhD in physics.

We trained at Windsor Baptist Church, where Nathan was saved and we were both baptized. We served as children’s ministers for years at WBC and were involved with the addiction ministry. When God moved us to Texas, we were not sure what God was doing. He made it clear that He wants us to go to the Czech Republic after we met the Kennedy family (missionaries to the Czech Republic) in the first missions conference we attended as members of Trinity Baptist Church in Big Spring, TX. While at TBC, Lisa was able to serve in the women’s jail ministry and has been able to see women both get saved and come to church after being released from jail.

We are now called to the most atheistic country in Europe, and some would argue the world. However, God has shown us how He has been preparing us for this ministry our whole lives. The life experience of being atheist and being foster parents as well as the ministry experience in addictions ministry have prepared us for ministering in the second highest alcohol consuming nation where 1 in 7 people are alcoholics. Through God’s power, we are planning to plant churches, train Czech men, and help lead people from a life of bondage to alcohol to the life of peace and freedom in Jesus Christ.

  1. Jason and Sarah Jordan – Cuba

We are Jason and Sara Jordan, and God has called us to be missionaries to Cuba. We have an amazing opportunity to reach the people of Cuba. Even though there may be some restrictions on Americans in a communist country, there are many creative ways we can still accomplish God’s plan of reaching the lost. We are being sent out of Bible Baptist Church in Mt. Orab, Ohio, under the leadership of Rev. Ted House. It was at BBC Mt. Orab that we were both saved, baptized and trained for ministry.

While serving at BBC Mt. Orab, we took missions trips to Cuba. It was during these trips that God gave us a very clear calling into full time missions. We answered that call in July of 2022 by surrendering to full time missions in the country of Cuba. We are currently starting our deputation process in order to become full time missionaries and expand the ministry we are already doing in Cuba. With God’s strength, we will continue to work alongside existing churches to lead people to Christ, start new churches, and train men to pastor those churches. We ask that you pray and consider having us come to your church and present the work that God has called us to.
