The teenage years are an exciting yet challenging time for adolescents and their parents alike. Especially in the world in which we live today. Each day they are facing issues that are shaping their worldview and who they will become.  The next generation has so much more to overcome than we did even 10-15 years ago.  It is overwhelming. So, how do parents and ministry leaders help their children fight the spiritual battle that is being waged on their souls and spiritual growth?

I was introduced to Axis.org at a BCMN conference two years ago in a youth breakout session. It has since been a treasure trove of resources we use in our youth department and Faith at Home family resource center. Their mission statement is “We build lifelong faith by helping parents and caring adults talk with their kids about what they otherwise wouldn’t, one conversation at a time.” They do this through podcasts, training videos, conversation kits and parent guides. You can sign up for their weekly newsletter “The Culture Translator,” a weekly email to help you stay up to date on the music, movies, TV shows, and social media trends impacting your kid’s world. I learn something new every week.

So, if you work with teens, parents with teens, grandparents with teen grandchildren, children who will become teens, or have any interaction with a teenager, this will be a great resource for you to check out.
