Many of you no doubt remember and possibly even attended the very first conference we held here in Canton, OH back in 2016.  At that time, we felt strongly that we needed to have a conference where we could rally those who were Biblical, Balanced, and Baptist.  We wanted to host a conference where those who attended would leave inspired, encouraged, and motivated to go back to their respective areas around the world and do a great work for God. However, it didn’t take us very long before we realized that we needed more than just an annual conference – we needed a Network that could function effectively throughout the year. Thus the founding of the Baptist Church Ministry Network.

From the very conception of the BCMN, we decided that it would be unique in that it would include not just pastors (active and retired), but also staff members serving in various positions within the church, missionaries, and evangelists. It was important to us to make sure that everyone involved in local church ministry would be able to connect and benefit from the Network. After all, it takes all of us – faithfully doing what we do – to get the work accomplished.

Even though we believe that the Great Commission is the responsibility of each local church, we also fully understand that it takes local churches (plural) working together to accomplish what Jesus has commanded us to do. But not only that, we must be equipped in order to accomplish the Great Commission. One of the goals of the Network is to equip Christian workers to better fulfill God’s calling upon their lives.  We help to accomplish that with national conferences, state or regional meetings, blogs, providing resources, missionary training, mentoring, and helping to connect you with others who can help you with your ministry. I’m convinced that together we can do more, but I’m also convinced that together we can be better – “Iron sharpeneth iron.”
