Russ and Lynn Turner have been missionaries in Costa Rica and Latin America for 46 years. For 30 years they planted churches and trained national pastors in various locations in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Since 2010, God has broadened their ministry to evangelize tribal groups in Panama, Colombia, Peru, and Brazil. They prepare native pastors through extensive Bible Institute training and have helped them build 54 churches in remote villages. They travel by canoe on the rivers, ride motorbikes on jungle trails, hike to distant villages, sleep in hammocks, bathe in streams, and eat native foods to reach these people for Christ. Through partnership with churches in the USA, the Turners provide study/audio Bibles, eyeglasses, headlamps, basic medicines, and other necessities for these remote tribes.
